Spending time with other people and building relationships is important for your mental wellbeing in terms of experiencing a sense of belonging & self-worth and both giving and receiving support.

Learn

Learning new skills can boost your self-confidence and build a sense of purpose. There are lots of different ways to bring learning into your life from a new hobby, to a project or practical skill.

Be Active

Being active is not only great for your physical health, getting your body moving causes chemical changes in your brain, which can help to positively change your mood.

Take Notice

Paying more attention to the present moment can improve your mental wellbeing. Some people call this awareness “mindfulness”. Taking Notice can take many forms including relaxation and meditation or simply using all of your senses to really experience the here-and-now.

Give

Acts of giving and kindness create positive feelings and provide a sense of reward. Even the smallest acts have this effect, like saying thank you to someone for something they have done for you.
